We introduce our own MS-DOS engine: CyberVGA
This download is an early build and gives you the current state of the engine.
You should see a room.
You definitely will see walls slide.
The camera will drift.
This is normal, for now.
The story is simple:
A young woman.
An elder who never came back from the woods.
A voice under the roots that answers when it shouldn't.
As the engine grows and updates arrive, this is what we want you to feel inside the game:
Move forward.
Listen.
No swords.
No stats.
Your mind does all of the fighting.
Run RUNCVGA.BAT
Rendering System (RNDR) modules in this build:
RAYCAST: Classic pseudo-3D raycasting core
CAMERA: Movement, FOV, viewport handling
WALL: Vertical wall renderer with texture mapping
FLOOR: Floor and ceiling renderer
TRIMES: Triangle mesh rendering support
WIRE: Wireframe debug mode
SPRIT: Sprites for objects and entities
FONT: Bitmap text and HUD rendering

Kind of amazing that you began to build your own DOS engine. Will be interesting to see what it can do in the future.
Thank you for your kınd words!
It's still very much in development, but we're excited to turn it into something properly playable soon.
